OPERATING BASICS
SWITCHING POWER ON/OFF
ADJUSTING SQUELCH
Press the POWER switch to turn the transceiver ON or
The purpose of the Squelch function is to silence

correctly, you will hear sound (squelch opened) only while a
station is actually being received.

Press [F], [MONI].

The current squelch level appears. The default is level 1.
ADJUSTING VOLUME
Press and hold [MONI], then turn the VOL control
clockwise to increase the audio level or counterclockwise to
decrease the audio level.

* If "BUSY' is visible, you need not press and hold [MONI].

Selecting level 0 allows you to hear weak signals,
however, background noise is always audible.

Selecting level 2 allows you to hear only strong signals.
Note:
To hear a weak signal or background noise, deactivate the
Squeich function by pressing [MONI].
3 Press any key other than [MONI] and [D] to complete
setting.
