Description
Power button board
Before removing the power button board, follow these steps:
1.
Turn off the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the
computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system.
2.
Disconnect the power from the computer by unplugging the power cord from the computer.
3.
Disconnect all external devices from the computer.
4.
Remove the any smart cards and memory cards.

Remove the memory modules (see

Remove the ODD (see

Remove the SSDs (see

Remove the middle cover (see

Remove the fans (see

Remove the system board (see
Remove the power button board:
1.
Lift the thermal tape (1) covering the board.
2.
Remove the 2 Phillips M2.5×5.0 screws (2) that secure the power button board.
