Preparations
eEnsure connections to your television and audio equipment are
correct.
eTurn on your television and other equipment•
eSwitch the video input mode on the television to suit the type of
connection you have made (e.g., VCR 2).

Press [POWER _/I] to switch on the
power.

Press [__ OPEN/CLOSE] to open the
drawer.

Place the disc(s) on the disc tray(s).
elnsert inside the guides•
eDo not load more than one disc in each tray.
eYou can load discs two at a time by pressing [DISC SKIP] to
rotate the carousel.

Caution:
Do not touch the drawer or carousel while they are in
motion, and do not attempt to rotate the carousel by
hand; doing so could result in incorrect operation of the
unit and/or.damage to the discs.
Press [_ OPEN/CLOSE] to close the
drawer.
After closing the drawer, the DISC 1-5 indicators may light up
even if there is no disc in the disc tray. This will depend on the
disc tray position. The indicator will go out when an empty tray
is in the play position,

To start play fl'om the disc In the play position,
Press [1_ ],
or
To start play h'om a specific disc,
Press [DISC 1-5] to select the disc
number.
Example: To selsct disc 1, press [DISC 1].
Play begins.
• Sequential modes (1 or 2)
Allthe discsloaded in the disc trays willbe playedaccordingto the
sequentialmode(1 or 2) currently selected.
For detailsonthe sequentialmodes,see page 15.
• Pressing [DISC SKIP] may be necessary to proceed to the next disc
after play of DVDs and Video CDs with playback control.
• DISC 1-5 indicators
After the unit reads a disc, the DISC 1-5 indicators are as follows:
No light: No disc
Orange: DVD
The indicator remains green in other cases,
