Problem
Possible Solution
• The TV remote control doesn't work
• Check that the batteries are installed correctly.
• Check that the select switch is set to "TV".
• Be no more than 20 feet from the TV when using
the remote control.
• The TV takes severalseconds to respond
• PressENTERafter a channel number to avoid delays.

• Use the three digit number,i.e. 002 for channel 2.
• You can't accessa channel
• Use number keysinsteadof CHANNEL up/down
• Besure the channel you want to view is in memory.
• Check that the TV is tuned to the correct input source

• If usingstereo or AV receiver speakers,check input
selection on the stereo or AV receiver.
• If usingstereo or AV receiver, check that AUDIO is from
MONITOR OUTPUT on TV's back panel.
• There is a large black or gray rectangle on the screen
• The TV closed captioning hasbeen set to "text" mode,
but there is no text information beingbroadcast.
Turn Offin the CAPTION menu (page36).
• You cannot see a picture when you play a VCR tape
• If you connected your VCR with A/V cables,use the INPUT
button to select the Input source (INPUT-I or 2) that the
VCR is connected to.
• Makesure Video Mute is turned off.
• Cannot see a picture when usinga non-HD-1080
• If you havepreviously been usingan HD-1080, turn off the
receiver
power, unplug the set and then plug in andpower on TV.
• Makesure you haveconnected the HDTV receiver correctly.
