ADVANCED FEATURES
TheAVR335 is equipped witha number o f advanced
features thataddextraflexibility t o theunit'soperation.
Whileit is not necessary t o usethesefeatures to
operate the unit,theyprovide additional options that
youmaywishto use.
Front-Panel Display Fade
innormal o peration, thefront-panel displays andindi-
cators remainonat fullbrightness, although y ou may
alsodimthemor turnthemoff asshowninthe next
section. Asan additional option,youmayalsosetthe
A\/Rsothatthe displays a m on whenever a buttonis
pressad onthe frontpanel o r remote, b ut thenfade
outaftera setperiodof time.
Tosetthefront-panel displays to the Fade mode,
pressthe OSDButton _, to bring the Master

Once thistimeis setandthe unitreturned to normal
operation, the displays willremain on for thetimeperi
od selected whenever a buttonis pressed on the flont

whichwillremainonto remindyouthattheAVRis
turned on. Notethatif thedisplays havebeenturned
completely o ff usingthe DimButton t1_I, asshown
inthe nextsectionandon page11, the Fade function
willnot operate.

Display Brightness
TheAVR335's front-panel displays a m setat a default
brightness l evel t hatissufficient for viewing ina nor
reallylit room.However, insomehometheater i nstal-

nessof the display, or turnit off completely. Tochange

Semi-OSD Settings
ThesembOSD system placesonelinemessages a t
the lowerthirdof thevideodisplay screen whenever
thevolume, i nputsource, sun-ound m ode,tuner
frequency or anyof the configuration settings am
changed. T hesemiOSDsystem is helpful i n thatit
provides f eedback onanycontrol c hanges or remote
commands usingthevideodisplay whenit is difficult
to viewthefront panel d isplays. However, youmay
occasionally p refer t o turnthesedisplays off fora par
titularlistening session. Youmayalsowanttoadlust
the length of timethe displays remain on thescreen.
