Selecting the multi-channel
analog inputs
If you have connected a decoder or a DVD
player with multichannel analog outputs to
this receiver (page 18), you must select the
analog multi-channel nputs for surround
sound playback,

2 Press SIGNAL SELECT repeatedly to
select DVD S.lch/DVD 7.1ch.
To cancel playback from the multi-channel
inputs, use the SIGNAL SELECT button to
select a d fferent input signal,

• When playback from the muir _channel
nputs ie selected, you can't use the
INPUT ATT, TONE, and MIDNIGHT/
LOUDNESS buttons, as well as the STAN-
DARD, ADVANCED SURROUND, and
STEREO/DIRECT sound modes.
• When playback from the mult _channel
nputs is selected, only the volume and
channel levels can be set.
Using the sleep timer
The sleep timer switches the receiver into
standby after a specified amount of tree so
you can fall asleep without wom/ing about the
receiver ben 9 left on all night. Use the remote
control to set the sleep timer.
1 Press RECEIVER.
2 Press SLEEP repeatedly to set the sleep
time.

O Tip
• You can check the remaning sleep time at
any time by pressing SLEEP once.
Pressing repeatedly will cycle throu9 h the
sleep options again.
• You can also switch off the sleep tmer
simply by switching off the receiver.
