Playing sources
Neo:6 Music (MUSIC)
This mode gives 6.1 channel surround sound
and s suitaUe for musc. The Neo:6 Musc
mode plays the stereo source as is through
the front left/right speakers, and generates a
natural, ambient surround and center sound,
Advanced Surround modes
These are designed to be used with multi-
channel surround sound audio/visual
sou rces (like DVDs and LDs). Most Advanced
Surround modes are des gned to be used with
flm soundtracks, but some modes are also
suited for music sources. T_ydifferent
settings with various soundtracks to see
which you like.

• Dependng on thesoulce and the sound
mode you have selected, you may not get
sound from the surround back speakers
in you_ setup. For more on this, refer to

Advanced Movie (ADV. MOVIE)
Simulates the relaxed environment of a movie
theater, and s su table for watching movies.
Advanced Music (ADV. MUSIC)
Simulates the acoustic environment of a large
concert hall and is suitable for music or
musical SOU_@S,
TV Surround (TV. SURR.)
This mode p_duces surround sound for both
mona and stereo TV sources. It is useful for
older movies recorded wth mona
soundtracks.
Sports (SPORTS)
This is des gned for sports programs with alot
of action, addng to the exc tement by
bringing background action to the forefront.
Game (GAME)
Useful when playing video games. It works
especially well wth sound moving from left to
iight in game softwale with alot of movement.
Expanded (EXPANDED)
This mode is espec ally designed to give
sound depth to stereo sources, and lets you
hear two-channel (stereo) signals as smu_
lated multi-channel surround sound• Use with
Dolby Pro Logic for a stereo surround effect,
You can also use with Dolby Dgtal sources
for a wder stereo field than the STANDARD
modes.
6-Channel Stereo (6-STEREO)
This can be selected to give multi_channel
sound to a stereo source, using all of the
speakers in your setup•
Phones Surround (PHONES SURROUND)
When I stening through headphones, you can
still get the effect of overall surround•
Choosing the input signal
