If the system malfunctions, a warning lamp
illuminates in the instrument cluster and
a message appears in the instrument
cluster display. Have your vehicle checked

may detect the trailer and turn the system
OFF. If the system does not turn OFF
automatically, switch the cross traffic alert
system OFF manually. See Switching
