Level 3 is the maximum engine brake level. Suitable for off-road use.
AEM
Aprilia Engine Map is a system controlling power delivery maps:
Level 1 results in an aggressive management of the throttle.
Level 2 results in an intermediate management of the delivery.
Level 3 results in a smoother engine response to the throttle control.
ABS
The ABS system is a device that prevents wheel locking in case of an emergency
braking, thus increasing vehicle stability when braking, compared with a conventional
braking system. The ABS system improves vehicle control provided that the physical
limits of vehicle grip on the road are not exceeded. The rider is fully responsible for
riding at a suitable speed based on weather and road conditions, always leaving an
appropriate safety margin.
Under no circumstances can the ABS system compensate for the rider's misjudge-
ment or improper use of brakes.
The ABS system can be deactivated (only when the vehicle is stationary and in the
OFF ROAD riding mode) or active. If active the system may be set to three different
levels from 1 (minimum slip control) to 2 (maximum slip control), from the specific
setting screen (see paragraph in the "SELECTING MAPS").
Level "1" is suitable for off-road use by expert riders under poor grip conditions. ABS
is effective on the front wheel only.
Level 2 is suitable for day-to-day usage of the vehicle in all conditions - e.g. on urban
or extra-urban roads, in wet surface conditions.
CAUTION
BEFORE RIDING OFF, CHECK THE ABS LEVEL OF CONTROL SELECTED.
