Cleaning the spark arrestor

Danger of burns The exhaust system gets hot when the vehicle is driven.

Allow the exhaust system to cool down before performing any work on the vehicle.

Soot particles accumulate on the screen of the spark arrestor over time.
This changes the performance characteristics.
Preparatory work

Remove main silencer. (
Main work

Remove screws and take off silencer cap
Info
Do not remove the glass fiber yarn filling.
Caution
Danger to health Soot particles irritate the eyes and mucuous membranes.

Wear suitable breathing and eye protection when cleaning the main silencer and carbon screen.

Clean main silencer sleeve

Mount new O-ring on silencer cap

Position silencer cap . Mount and tighten screws
