Mounting of crossbar carrier
When mounting the crossbar carrier follow the pictures and fitting instructi-
ons.
Make sure you proceed in the same way to mount all the flanges of the
crossbar carrier!

› Complete set of crossbar carrier package (hereinafter referred to as carrier
only).
› In case of need, these spare parts can be ordered from the Škoda genui-
ne spare parts catalogue.
› Large cover without lock (1 pc)
› Set of screws (4 pcs)
› Set of locks (4 pcs) and keys (2 pcs)

› Screw all screws (B) in relevant holes in the longitudinal carrier of the car.
Tighten the screws with tightening torque of 4 Nm.
› Considering the necessity of keeping the right torque (using the torque
wrench), Škoda Auto recommends to have this operation done in an
authorized service.
Advice. For safety reasons the screws in the longitudinal
carrier of the car can be mounted (dismantled) repeatedly,
three times as the maximum.

› Use wrench (C) to unlock the lock of the carrier cap.
› Remove the cap and put it on a suitable place to avoid its damage.
› Divert the red safety lever and disengage the eccentric lever upwards.
Attention. Prior to mounting the carrier on longitudinal rails,
all the eccentric levers must be in the upper position!

› When the carrier is ready as described above, mount it on to the screws in
the longitudinal carrier of the car (the flanges of the carrier are movable
-detail-).
› Check whether the carrying metal sheet of the carrier flange is positio-
ned correctly on fitting the screws screwed in the

longitudinal carrier -detail-.
› Centre the carrying profiles of the carrier (so-called quota "a" = "a").

› Check the carrier for proper position.
› With your left hand press the carrying plate of the carrier to the longitudinal
carrier and with your right hand simultaneously tilt the eccentric carrier
lever to the bottom position (the lever snaps under the tang of the safety
red lever).
› The detent plate of the flange must seat in the screw groove -detail-.

› Mount the dismantled cap and push until snaps.

› By turning the key, get the lock to horizontal (closed) position. Take the key

out and save it.

Check the carrier for proper position. Check proper fastening giving it a
powerful shake with your hand.
Disassembling
› Proceed in reverse for disassembling the carrier.
