PPP: PPP (Point-to-Point Protocol) is a common
networking software protocol that enables any computer
with a modem and a phone line to connect directly to the
Internet. On the PPP screen, select the data option you
want to use according to your network service provider
and the R-UIM card you installed in your PDA phone. The
following options are available:
• Auto Selection: Your PDA phone automatically
receives the data call in the network mode supplied
by the service provider of the current location.
• 1x Only: Your PDA phone only receives the data
call in the CDMA 2000 1x mode.
• 95A Only: Your PDA phone only receives the data
call in the IS-95A mode.
Sync Setup: This option allows you to choose the
connection port for synchronisation with your desktop
computer from USB mode. You can use the following
options:
• PDA: If selected, you can synchronise your
Schedule or Addressbook with another PDA phone.
• Phone: If selected, you can use your PDA phone as
a wireless modem.
System Information: This option provides information
about the system including the amount of the available
memory, the memory of the SD card, the status of the
system and applications, and the system version.
