Charging cable Combo 2

The charging station is equipped with a charging cable for charging electric vehicles with
direct current. The charging cable enables charging of electric vehicles with a CCS Combo 2
charging socket according to the standard IEC 62196-3.
Charging contacts
To safely transmit the high charging power, the Combo 2 connector of the charging cable
uses the following charging contacts:

Use
Vehicle and charging station communicate via the signal contact
CP
The PE grounding contact protects the device in case of a faulty
cable connection
The charging station and the electric vehicle recognize the maxim­
um charging current transferred by the charging cable via the PP
contact.
The DC- contact forms the negative pole for direct current charging
The DC+ contact forms the plus pole for direct current charging
