Software update
Basic information
You can update the software on your TV set. In the software update
(package update) all the software versions in the TV are scanned and
updated as required.
Here you can load up a new piece of software from different sources
(where present):
If your TV set is connected to the Internet, the update can be performed
directly via the Internet (recommended method, see page 97).
Current software versions can also be downloaded from the Loewe Internet
site via a PC and installed on your set using a USB stick (see right column).

Requirements of USB stick
USB sticks tested by Loewe and compatible in type and format can be
ordered from the Loewe dealer using the article no. 90456.990.
If you would like to use your own USB stick, please follow these tips/
conditions:
Formatting in FAT32.
Only one partition.
Do not use encrypted USB sticks.
Do not use USB sticks that simulate a CD ROM drive.
The stick must not contain any data other than the software update
files.
Data is saved temporarily on the USB stick during the software update
process. That means the USB stick must not be write-protected.
For some types of device, the construction of the USB stick is significant.
Maximum dimensions in mm: 70x20x10.
If in doubt, the USB stick should be formatted as "FAT32" without
"extended attributes".

Where available, you can download new software for your TV set from
our homepage.
To do this, visit our homepage at:

(International),

http://support.loewe.tv/au (Australia) or
http://support.loewe.tv/nz (New Zealand)
Choose Register now or Register free-of-charge on the support homepage.
Follow the individual registration process instructions.
After the successful registration process and subsequent login to the
support homepage you have to register your set (have the article number
and serial number ready – both of these are on a label stuck to the back
of the set or can be seen under TV equipment in the index of the TV set
(see page 15).
Then you will get a list of downloadable contents for your TV set including
the software for your TV set. Download the files and unzip all the files in
this ZIP archive to the main directory of your empty USB stick.
Switch the TV set off using the power switch.
Insert the USB stick with the downloaded software into a free USB port
on the TV set (see connections page 11).
Only switch the TV set on again via the power switch. The update will
now be carried out automatically Whilst updating, the LED display on
the control panel (see page 10) lights up orange. The display remains
switched off during the update.
After approx. 2 minutes, the LED display on the control panel changes
from orange to red. Now eject the USB stick from the TV set and switch
the TV set back on.
