Entering BIOS Setup

Default BIOS Setup Settings

This chapter contains information on BIOS, the low-level interface
between the hardware and PC software that configures and tests your
hardware at boot up. This BIOS (Basic Input Output System) provides an
easy-to-use graphical user interface to allow you to configure system
aspects according to your needs.
To enter the BIOS setup program, perform the following steps.
1.
Turn on or reboot the system. A screen appears with a series of
diagnostic checks.
2.
When the message
appears, press the <DEL> key to enter the BIOS setup program.
3.
Choose options with the keyboard. Modify the settings to reflect
system options.
To restore the default settings while inside the BIOS setup program,
select either Auto Configuration with Optimal Settings or Auto
Configuration with Fail-Safe Settings.
Select the Optimal settings if you want to get maximum performance from
the VXIpc 700 Series. Fail Safe settings are more conservative settings.
Hit <DEL> if you want to run SETUP
