at the lower end of the opening cable at
the throttle crank. To
adjust,
loosen the
lock nut and turn the adjuster. Do not
forget to tighten the lock nut upon
completion of adjustment.
Check for smooth operation of throttle
grip through the en tire range from fully
open to fully closed with the handlebar
set to the extreme right and left steering
positions.

Inspect the physical condition of the
throttle cable housings between the
throt-
tle grip and the carburetors for kinks,
chafing, other damage or for improper
routing.
Replace any damaged cable or
reroute if required.
Carburetor Adjustment
A carburetor which is out of adjustment
will adversely affect the performance of
the engine; therefore
,
it
is important that
the carburetor always be maintained in
perfect adjustment.
Carburetor adjustment should only be
made when the engine is at operating
temperature.

Set the idle speed to 1,200 rpm with
the
throttle
stop screw
®
(page 4 7).
Turning the screw clockwise will
increase engine speed.
