Description on EEPROM Data

The table below gives the stored data of EEPROM
(FRAM) on each printed circuit board.

. When the board replacement is needed, remove the IC
attached to the former board and replace it to the new
board.
. The IC listed above cannot be replaced because it is the
EEPROM that is the storing data inherent in the board.
The part number listed in "Spare Parts" is for EEPROM
which is not programmed. If replacement is needed,
contact your local Sony Sales Office/Service Center.

Adjustment and Setting Items when
Replacing AT-173A Board
Camera settings and various files are stored in the AT-
173A board. When the AT-173A board is replaced, the
contents of the reference file, scene file, lens file, operator
file and ohb file are lost. Store these files in a Memory
Stick or other storage media beforehand, and then replace
the AT-173A board.
Replacement
Procedure before Replacing AT-173A Board
1. Press the VF MENU/DISPLAY button while pressing
the assignable buttons 1, 2, and 3 on the camera unit or
the assistant panel and the MENU SEL /ENTER dial.
The service menu is not displayed by turning off the
power.

Press the assignable buttons 1, 2, and 3 at the same
time.
2. Insert the Memory Stick.
3. Enter an identifiable file ID on page BACKUP FILE
of the SERVICE menu, and then execute BACKUP
FILE SAVE.
Procedure after Replacing AT-173A Board
4. Install the latest versions of the MAIN CPU and NET
CPU firmware programs. (Refer to Section 1-8.)
5. Insert the Memory Stick used in step 3.
6. Specify the file ID stored in step 3 on page BACKUP
FILE of the SERVICE menu, and then execute
BACKUP FILE LOAD.
