MAINTENANCE
Perform scheduled maintenance procedures as defined in
Table 10 and below:
DAILY
Thoroughly remove dirt and oil from the engine and
control area. Clean or replace the air cleaner elements as
necessary. Check and retighten all fasteners as necessary.
WIRING
Inspect the entire mixer for bad or worn electrical wiring or
connections. Replace wiring immediately if any wiring or
connections are exposed (insulation missing).
HOSE AND PIPING CONNECTIONS
Inspect all oil, hydraulic, and fuel hose and piping
connections for wear and tightness. Tighten all hose
clamps and check for leaks. Replace any defective hose
lines immediately.
FUEL STRAINER (IF EQUIPPED)
1. Thoroughly clean the area around the fuel tank cap.

2. Remove the fuel tank cap from the fuel tank.
3. Remove, inspect and clean the fuel strainer (Figure 36)
with solvent.

MAINTENANCE (ENGINE)
SPARK PLUG
Remove and clean the spark plug (Figure 37). Adjust the
spark plug gap to 0.024–0.028 in. (0.6–0.7 mm). This unit
has electronic ignition, which requires no adjustments.
GAP:
0.024 – 0.028 in.
(0.6 – 0.7 mm)

ENGINE OIL
NOTICE
ALWAYS drain the engine oil while the oil is warm.
1. Unscrew the oil filler dipstick (Figure 38) from its holder.

2. Remove the oil drain bolt and sealing washer and allow
the oil to drain into a suitable container (Figure 38).
3. Reinstall the drain bolt with sealing washer and tighten
securely.
4. Replace the engine oil with the recommended oil type
listed in Table 8. DO NOT overfill. See Table 4 for engine
oil capacity.
