Auto cassette mode
The Auto cassette mode is available only when the printer is installed with the
optional paper feeder. This menu selects one of the automatic paper cassette switching
modes for normal paper. The numbers below refer the media cassettes of the printer and
the option paper feeder: 1 for the upper cassette; 2 for the middle cassette; and 3 for the
lower cassette. The Size select automatically searches all media cassettes for the
paper size commanded by the document.
Note:
The printer does not switch cassettes automatically if the media is transparency.

Colour mode
The Colour mode menu selects monochrome or colour printing mode. If you select
Monochrome, the Quick Colour option in the Print quality (See the next item.) is
disabled.

Print quality
The Print quality mode allows you to select a print quality that matches your
document to print. The print quality affects the resolution and print speed that are
available to each selection. See the table on the next page.

The Fine print quality provides the best print quality. However, the throughput will be
diminished. For all modes, the printer prints in faster overall throughput if you install
more memory in the printer.
Note:
The Quick Colour is not available if the Colour mode (above) is Monochrome.
