Overview

The Teledyne Benthos UDB-9000 Universal Deck Box is an all-purpose,
multi-receive deck box that operates with any of the Teledyne Benthos
acoustic transponders, releases and acoustic telemetry modems. The
UDB-9000 is available in both a portable (UDB-9000-M) and a rack mount
(UDB-9000-MR) configuration as shown in Figure 1-1.
The deck box combines all
of the features of the
following existing Teledyne
Benthos deck boxes
already in service into one
easy to operate unit:
DS-8750 Acoustic
Deck Set. A deck box
that can send FSK
commands, including
release commands, to
the Teledyne Benthos
875-A Shallow Water
Release and the
875-PUB Pop Up Buoy.
DS-8000 Acoustic
Deck Set. A single
channel deck box that
can send FSK
commands, including
release commands, and
receive replies from the
Teledyne Benthos 865-A
Deep Sea Transponding
Release, the 866-A
Continental Shelf
Transponding Release
and the 867-A Shallow
Water Transponding
Release. The DS-8000
can also send release
