Tonneau Cover Spring
Adjustment
The retraction spring is located inside of
the canister and has been pre-adjusted
to the proper tension. If needed in
adverse conditions, the tension can be
easily adjusted. Adjustments can be
made using the pinion located on the
right side of the canister.
To adjust the tension:
1. Press the pinion inward to release the
locking mechanism.
2. Using and 8 mm socket to maintain
pressure on the pinion, rotate the
pinion.

3-2. Rotate the pinion counterclockwise
4. Rotate the pinion 1 revolution, then
check the operation. Keep adjusting
until desired operation is reached.
• The main spring may cause injury
if the canister is opened without
relieving the spring tension.
• Extreme tightening or loosening
can damage the spring. (It is not
recommended to rotate more than
30 revolutions.)
