VIII. Alignment after Light Engine Assembly Replacement
After the light engine replacement, check and adjust the mechanical lens position,
mechanic al lens focus, & electrical picture position if necessary:

Adjustment
1. Mechanical Position
2. Mechanical Focus
3. Elec trical Horizontal Position
4. Electrical Vertical Position
Procedure:
1. Connect a cross hair generator to a video input – use the TV's full view mode as
shown below in figure 53.
2. If the horizontal and vertical cross hairs are not parallel with the bezel frame
(figure 53), perform the mechanical position adjustment (steps 3-5) after you
have rechecked the chassis mounting position. Otherwise, skip the positioning
steps 3-5 and proceed to the mechanical focus adjustment (steps 6-8).
Mechanical position adjustment:
3. Refer to figure 53. Remove the access-port cover, located behind the decorative
co ver. Two screws hold
4. Refer to figure 54. Loosen the four lens mounting-screws inside the port
(circled).
5. Position the lens by grasping its bottom and wiggling the assembly to achieve the
best alignment of the horizontal and vertical cross hairs with the notches on the
frame (figures 53 & 54).
