11 Warranty

11.1 North American Limited Warranty

THE WARRANTY BELOW HAS BEEN DRAFTED TO COMPLY WITH
FEDERAL LAW APPLICABLE TO PRODUCTS MANUFACTURED
AFTER JULY 4, 1975.
This w arranty is e xtended only to the original purchaser w ho
purchases t his p roduct w hen new and unused from Invacare
Corporation or a dealer. This w arranty is n ot e xtended to any
other p erson or e ntity and is n ot t ransferable or a ssignable to any
subsequent p urchaser or owner. Coverage under this w arranty will
end upon any such subsequent s ale or other transfer of t itle to any
other p erson. This w arranty gives y ou specific legal r ights a nd you
may also have other legal r ights which may vary from state to state.
Invacare Corporation warrants i ts P erfecto
when purchased new and unused to be free from defects in materials
and workmanship for a period of t hree years f rom date of p urchase
from Invacare or a dealer, w ith a copy of t he seller's invoice required
for c overage under t his w arranty.
DO NOT OPEN OR ATTEMPT TO SERVICE THE 4-WAY VALVE
BODY.
This w ill v oid any and all w arranty applicable to the valve body. If
within such warranty periods a ny such product s hall b e proven to
Invacare Corporation's s atisfaction to be defective, such product
shall be repaired or r eplaced, at I nvacare Corporation's o ption.
This w arranty only applies t o the labor f or r epairs p erformed by
the Invacare Service Department o r I nvacare Authorized Service
Centers. It d oes n ot a pply to the labor performed by the purchaser
or u ser. This w arranty does n ot i nclude normal w ear a nd tear o r
shipping charges. Invacare Corporation's s ole obligation and your

exclusive remedy under this w arranty shall b e limited to such repair
or r eplacement.
Routine maintenance items, such as f ilters, are excluded from
this w arranty. For w arranty s ervice, please contact I nvacare
Corporation's S ervice Department a t t he toll f ree number o n the
back cover. Upon receiving notice of a n alleged defect i n a product,
Invacare Corporation will i ssue a serialized return authorization.
It s hall t hen be the responsibility of t he purchaser t o return the
entire unit o r remove, a t p urchaser's c ost, t he defective component
part(s) i dentified, p ack the component p art(s) i n a manner to avoid
shipping d amage and to ship the component p art(s) t o either
Invacare Corporation's p lant o r s ervice center a s s pecified by
Invacare Corporation in advance. Defective component p art(s)
must b e returned for w arranty inspection using the serial n umber
as i dentification within thirty days o f r eturn authorization date. Do
not r eturn products t o our f actory without p rior c onsent. C.O.D.
shipments w ill b e refused; p lease prepay shipping charges.
LIMITATIONS A ND EXCLUSIONS: THE FOREGOING
WARRANTY SHALL NOT APPLY TO PRODUCTS SUBJECTED
TO NEGLIGENCE, ACCIDENT, IMPROPER OPERATION,
MAINTENANCE OR STORAGE, SOOT OR SMOKE-FILLED
ENVIRONMENTS, O R OTHER THAN NORMAL APPLICATION,
USE OR SERVICE, O R TO PRODUCTS MODIFIED WITHOUT
INVACARE CORPORATION'S EXPRESS WRITTEN CONSENT
(INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, MODIFICATION
THROUGH THE USE OF UNAUTHORIZED PARTS O R
ATTACHMENTS) O R TO PRODUCTS DAMAGED BY REASON
OF REPAIRS MADE TO ANY COMPONENT WITHOUT THE
SPECIFIC CONSENT OF INVACARE CORPORATION OR
TO PRODUCTS DAMAGED BY CIRCUMSTANCES BEYOND
INVACARE CORPORATION'S CONTROL.
