Release Notes for Nautica Marlin & Clam
4-2
6.
It has been reported that various issues with downloading
new code from Nautica Wizard under early versions of
Windows 95 can be overcome by upgrading to the latest
version of WINSOCK. Consult your Microsoft reseller for
upgrade details.
Caution:
Only upgrade your WINSOCK if you experience
problems with the unit upgrade. At the time of going to print,
the latest version of WINSOCK can be found at
http://www.microsoft.com/ntserver/info/PPTPdownWinsock.ht
m.
7.
The output of the Advanced > NAT > Show NAT Addresses
command in Nautica Wizard displays the wrong values for
the protocol and timeout columns.
8.
When running setup from BCC, the option for IPX frame
types asks which frame type you require. Regardless of what
you enter it sets 802.3. To correct this (if necessary) change
this value manually (system#).
9.
DHCP lease information is stored in non-volatile memory
when the unit configuration is saved. This cannot easily be
removed, but is updated when the configuration is next saved.
DHCP leases granted since the last save do not survive a
reboot, this can lead to the same address being given to more
than one client.
10. The NDEVLOAD utility is only compatible with new style
BRI-ST and BRI-U type TAs (silver RJ-45 connector) and
not with the old style BRI and PRI TA modules (black RJ-45
connector). Older files must be upgraded using
ISDNPROG.EXE and the .bin extension files as before.
11. When installing the Nautica Software under Windows 95, the
Adobe Acrobat reader may not be installed automatically,
even when it is selected from the Custom install menu. To
install correctly, run the setup utility in the AdobeAcrobat
directory on the CDROM.
