Trivial File Transfer Protocol (TFTP) is used to upgrade the
device software and requires the use of files with a .abs
extension.
Note: The download tool is only compatible with new style
BRI-ST and BRI-U type TAs (silver RJ-45 connector) and not
with the old style BRI and PRI TA modules (black RJ-45
connector). Older TAs must still be upgraded using the
ISDNPROG.EXE and the .bin extension files as before.
