NauticaRS 4.123R Features List

119781-B Rev. 01
This chapter lists the new features added since release 4.114R of
the Nautica software. For more detailed information on these
features, refer to the "Understanding the Technology" chapter in
the online manual "Release 4.1 Reference Guide", or the
Concepts section of Help in Nautica Wizard.
Network Address Translation (NAT) of IP addresses
embedded inside NetBIOS NBT packets is now available.
This makes it possible to login to an NT domain using NAT.
A new IDLE-PERIOD parameter has been added to Point to
Point Protocol (PPP) Paths. This is the period for which the
last channel of a path must be idle before the path is cleared
down.
For compatibility with previous releases, the DEM-PERIOD
value is used if IDLE-PERIOD is set to 0 (the default). This
parameter allows the user to configure a short demand period
(e.g. 10 seconds) to bring up a second B channel, but have a
longer IDLE-PERIOD (e.g. 60 seconds) for idling out the
last B channel on a path. In previous releases the DEMAND
PERIOD value was used for both calculations. Nautica
Wizard supports the IDLE PERIOD parameter in version
4.123b.
Nautica Wizard now supports CLAM-IP.
TA and Modem download is now possible using the Nautica
Wizard download tool. The tool is accessed from the
Advanced > Devices menu.
