application, might acquire more than one license, or might lose its
session with the Application Gateway. Completion of a
synchronization resolves those transient issues.
If a page is in progress when a synchronization completes, the page is
terminated.
Some state information is not communicated correctly from the Call
Server to the Application Gateway. For example:
(758) a. If a user picks up the handset while in TPS mode, then
proceeds to play a Visual Voicemail through the Application Gateway,
both the dial tone provided by the Call Server and the voicemail
message will play simultaneously through the handset.
Workaround: Toggle to the TPS and press the Goodbye key to
disconnect the dial tone.
(759) b. If a user receives a phone call while listening to a Visual
Voicemail on the handset, pressing the Line in key will answer the call
through the speaker (as opposed to streaming the call to the handset).
Workaround: Press the switch hook to redirect the voice path to the
handset.
When a phone is powered off and back on, it is in a busy state for two
minutes. When a phone rings but is not answered, the phone remains
in a busy state for 30 seconds after the phone stops ringing. While a
phone is in a busy state, phone users will see the message "Waiting on
Audio" and will need to wait until a phone is no longer busy to use
most Voice Office application functions.
(1546) On IP Phone 2002, content that must break between multiple
screens, such as a news article, is truncated after the first screen.
Workaround: The transformation rules created in Design Studio and
uploaded to the Application Gateway must be customized for the IP
Phone 2002 display. Therefore, if the site has a mix of IP Phones 200n,
a separate Application Gateway is needed to service the IP Phone
2002, which requires transformation rules to handle multi-screen
content appropriately for the display.
(1778) Restarting the Application Gateway from the Administration
Tool sometimes fails.
Workaround: Power cycle the Application Gateway.
(2033) On Nortel IP Phones 1120E and 1140E (GXAS), it is not possible
to adjust the audio volume while the phone has a session with the
Application Gateway.
