WLAN 2300 Series Outdoor Solution with AP Mounted in NEMA Enclosure 65
Note.
Be careful not to over-tighten the coaxial cable connections. Damage to the AP may result if too
much torque is applied to the connection.
15 Attach AP to the AP mounting bracket.
16 From AP side opposite of Antenna connections, find location to lock Mounting plate.
For more information about Installation of Mounting Plate, refer to the Nortel WLAN Access Point
2330/2330A/2330B Installation Guide.
17 Use AP mounting tool(nail) to lock the AP to the bracket.
18 Secure Cover on the enclosure.
19 Complete tightening of the Ethernet Gland nut.
20 Mount the NEMA enclosure with appropriate mounting hardware that supports the ODS NEMA
Enclosure.
21 Ground the enclosure by attaching the ground cable to the ground lug according to Local Electrical Code.
22 Attach external antennas to NEMA Enclosure with Nortel approved cable.

Installation of the Ethernet Lightning Surge Protector

Obtain the Ethernet Lightning Surge Protector from the Kit.

Remove the cover of the Ethernet Lightning Surge Protector.

Unscrew the Ethernet Gland nut on the left side of the Ethernet Lightning Surge Protector.

Remove the rubber washers from the Ethernet Gland.

Slide the Ethernet Gland nut onto the Ethernet cable.
Make sure the threaded end is facing the Ethernet cable connector on the enclosure.

Slide the rubber washers onto the Ethernet cable.

Insert the Ethernet cable into the Ethernet Lightning Surge Protector and connect it to the connector
labeled LINE as shown in
Figure 19 .
