Powering up the BAP120

Power up the BAP120 so that it is ready to function as an access point
for your network.
Procedure steps

Optionally, position the optional directional antenna in the direction
of connectivity.
Action
Connect to the power source using Power over Ethernet (PoE) or
the supplied AC power adapter.
CAUTION
Use ONLY the power adapter supplied with this access
point. Otherwise, the product can be damaged.
BAP120 rear panel connections
If the access point is connected to both a PoE source device and an AC
power source, the AC power is disabled.
Connect the Ethernet cable to the RJ-45 port, and then connect the
cable to an Ethernet or PoE port on your Ethernet switch.
The BAP120 automatically requests an IP address from the
DHCP server on your LAN by default. If no response is received
from the DHCP server, the access point uses the default address
192.168.1.136.
The BAP120 begins the self-test.
