Troubleshooting
Issue: Checking Cellular Signal
If you are attempting to connect remotely with a Digi router and neither Trane Connect Remote Access
or the Customer's VPN account are working, there is a possibility that the area could be experiencing a
cellular power outage. Check for power outages at the cellular network's website:
If there is a cellular power outage in the area of the Digi router, attempt to connect again after power is
restored.
Issue: Unable to obtain remote access and no reported cellular power outage
If the Digi Remote Manager is unable to connect to the Digi router (and Trane Connect Remote Access
will not connect) and a cellular power outage has not been reported in the area, It will be necessary to
physically go out to the customer site to cyle power on the cellular router (or ask the customer to cycle
the power in order to force a reboot of the device. If the device still does not respond after cycling the
power, contact Trane Product Support who will then contact INS for further troubleshooting.
Issue: Connecting to the Digi router when the Trane technician is at the customer site
Note: The Digi router supports DHCP. If a Trane Technician's laptop is already set up for DHCP, there is

Connect an Ethernet cable from your laptop to the LAN 0 port on the Digi router.
Open a web browser and navigate to http://192.168.2.1. This opens the Digi Log in Prompt screen
(see the following figure).
Login using the following:
Username: view
Password: Ytsmr1!22021

Verify that you have a wireless signal and a public IP address. This information can be found on the
home screen of the Cellular section (see the following figure). It also provides the signal strength
and if and how much data is being transmitted.
