    Tracer SC+ is Trane Connect Remote Access. Trane Connect Remote Access is built into many Tracer BAS controllers, including Tracer SC/SC+/Concierge, allowing Trane technicians and customers to securely access their Tracer BAS while away from the office. Refer to the Trane Connect How-To Guide, (BAS-SVU22) for more details.

    The SIM cards are factory-installed by INS and shipped activated and tested ready-to- be-used. Each new Trane Cellular Router Kit includes the first 12 months/12GB of data from Solve Networks and support from INS with the initial cost of the kit. (Other rate plan offerings are available upon request).

    Internal Mount Kit. The Internal Mount Kit is designed for use where a strong cellular signal exists at or near the Tracer BAS enclosure. The cellular router must be installed inside the Trane enclosure or in close proximity of the enclosure.

    When you order a cellular router kit, it is shipped with the cellular data plan already activated. Billing for the cellular data service is separate from the kit invoice. Cellular data service is billed monthly to each Trane office for all combined cellular routers. For more information, contact the controls product manager Table 2.

To confirm the settings at the Tracer BAS user interface, navigate to Installation>Identification and Communications>IP Configuration to view the Identification and Communications page.

    Installing the Cellular Router Installation Scenarios There are several different installation scenarios for the Digi IX10 cellular router and Tracer SC+ system controller. Depending on the site-specific connectivity scenario, the connection options are varied. Since each Ethernet port on the Tracer SC+ controller can be independently configured based on the scenario, several application use cases exist.

    Trane Connect is easy to use and built-in to Tracer BAS controllers. The following procedure describes how to set up Trane Connect for your customer. If some sections do not apply to your specific scenario, skip to the appropriate section. For more information, refer to the Trane Connect How-to-Guide, BAS- SVU22.

    Modifying a Previously Registered Tracer BAS Controller The following process describes how to add a new customer administrator to an existing Tracer BAS controller in TIS Command Center (mybuilding.trane.com). 1. In TIS Command Center, select the Tracer BAS controller (facility) and then click Edit Facility Settings from the Actions menu (see Figure 7, p.

    Authenticate customers with Trane Connect. To authenticate a new customer admin account: 1. Upon receipt of the “Welcome to Trane Connect” e-mail, click on the activation link (see the following figure). Important: The customer administrator must activate the link in the e-mail within 7 days or the account activation will expire.

    Customer admins have the ability to create and delete accounts for additional users for each device. 1. Log into Trane Connect. Click the Set Up icon located at the top of the left navigation menu, then select User Management (see the following figure). A list of current users is displayed.
  • Page 23 2. From the upper-right portion of the screen, click Create New User. The Add User dialog box appears. 3. Search for the user’s location/organization in the search box. Enter the user information, Trane Connect role, and appropriate devices for the user.
