I Check/adjustment procedure
After hard disk drive replacement, format the hard disk drive and install software with the
FORMAT and INSTALL system disks and data disks.
(1) Turn OFF the machine.
(2) Insert the FORMAT system disk into the floppy disk drive.
(3) Turn ON the machine.
➮ The hard disk drive formatting process starts.
REFERENCES
• It takes 20 to 30 minutes to format the hard disk drive.
• Upon completion of hard disk drive formatting, the following message appears on the
panel:
***** Formatting is complete. *****

(4) Turn OFF the machine.
(5) Remove the FORMAT system disk from the floppy disk drive.
(6) Insert the INSTALL system disk into the floppy disk drive.
(7) Turn ON the machine.
➮ The software installation process starts.
(8) Follow the instructions appearing on the panel to replace the INSTALL system disk
with the data disks.
REFERENCES
• Follow the instructions appearing on the panel to replace the inserted data disk in
numerical order.
• Upon completion of software installation, the following message appears on the panel.
Install is complete.
(9) Turn the machine OFF and then back ON to verify that the machine starts up normally.
