Phenomenon
Paper presence or
absence cannot be
detected. Paper near
end cannot be detected.
The cover or front cover
open state is not
detected or remains in
the detected state.
● Auto Cutter Failure
Phenomenon
The auto cutter does not
operate.
● Operation Panel Display Failure, FEED Switch Failure
Phenomenon
The operation panel LED
does not illuminate.
The FEED switch cannot
be operated.
Cause
The paper sensor is faulty.
The sensor spring is broken.
The sensor connector is not
connected correctly.
The sensor is faulty.
The sensor lever spring is
broken.
Cause
The connector has a bad
connection.
The auto cutter is faulty.
Paper feed is faulty.
(paper jams)
The movable or fixed blade is
damaged.
Cause
The control PCB is damaged.
The LED is broken.
"LEVER, FEED SW" is
broken.
Check Method
Check the indication at the
LED or buzzer when the
paper ends.
Push the sensor by hand
and check if it returns.
Check the connecting
condition of the connector.
Check the indication at the
LED or buzzer while opening
and closing the cover.
Check the indication at the
LED or buzzer while opening
and closing the front cover.
Check Method
Check the connecting
condition of the connector.
Measure the supply voltage
with a tester or oscilloscope.
Check if paper is jammed,
torn or caught in the paper
path.
Manually turn the cutter gear
and check that it can be
turned lightly by hand.
Check Method

Check if "LEVER, FEED
SW" is broken.

Remedies
Replace "SA, PE SENSOR".
Replace "SPRING, PE
SENSOR".
Connect the connector
correctly.
Replace each sensor.
Replace "SPRING, LEVER
INTERLOCK".
Remedies
Connect the connector
correctly.
If the supply voltage is normal,
replace the auto cutter with a
new one.
Remove unnecessary paper
and set the paper correctly.
Replace the auto cutter.
Remedies
Replace "SA, MAIN PCB".
Replace "LEVER, FEED SW".
