7.QUESTIONS FOR CLIENT SOFTWARE
 "Location does not contain information about your hardware" is displayed.
The path to the *.inf file selected is too far away. Alternatively, an excessive number of characters has been used for
the directory path.
Copy the directory containing the *.inf file to the local drive and resume installation.
 "This port is currently in use" is displayed.
The driver has been either opened and is printing a job or is in use by another printer.
 Check that all print jobs have been completed.
 Quit all applications.
 Change the port of the driver.
 "Problem with the current printer setup" is displayed.
The driver has not been configured properly since the installation was not completed correctly.
Delete the driver. Then reattempt to download it from the Client Utilities/User Documentation DVD or the equipment.
 "Could not connect to the MFP device" is displayed.
 Communication between the N/W-Fax driver and the equipment has failed.
Check that the equipment is operating. If not, turn ON the power of the equipment.
 Connect the N/W-Fax driver with the equipment through TopAccess.
If the connection fails, reboot the client computer and the equipment.
 The result of the fax job is not listed in the Send field of the [Log] tab.
From [Job Status] on the touch panel of the equipment, select [Fax] and search for the job with "Invalid" indicated in
the Status field. If there is the job, select it and press [Send] to resend it.
 Fax transmission has failed if a cover sheet is attached.
Set the file name of the printer driver in 30 letters or less.
If a fax job is sent with a cover sheet added from Microsoft Excel from the N/W-Fax driver with the IPP port specified
while a printer driver whose file name consists of 54 letters or more is specified for the default printer, no cover sheet
is outputted and an XL error occurs.
 Log-in using client software has failed.
Ask your administrator.
Since the user name and password registered in the client software are used for authentication in the case of
automatic log-in, the log-in screen may not be displayed.
 Printing can be made even with an incorrect user name and password.
Install the client software with the latest version.
If the client software version is earlier than the system one in the equipment, printing may be performed even when
an incorrect user name and password are entered.
