3-6 HDMI SW IC (ADV7850) failure detection procedure
Checking device. (HDMI SW)
Check the I2C communication line.
Check item (60). Check communication between CPU and the HDMI
SW device.
Send the following command from Termite.exe.
Send the command "i 0040 00E1 0002".
Is the return value "2104""01" ?
If the communication results are not OK
If the communication results are OK
When the results of check item (60) are "the communication results are not OK"
Checking device. (HDMI SW)

Checking the reset waveform.
Check item(61).
Check the CPU.

Is the "RESET" waveform of the TP near the HDMI SW (U1055) cor-

rect (like the one shown in the diagram) when the power is turned
on?
If it is normal, "2104" is returned.
Go to check item (61)
Go to check item (63)
Check item(62).
Replace the

Recheck from
If it does not work, replace the PCB.

Checking the HDMI SW :
(R2148, R2149) and recheck from

HDMI SW (U1055) is faulty.
Replace with a new device.

Check the reset circuit between CPU (U1018) and
HDMI SW (U1055).
If there is no problem, the HDMI SW (U1055) is
faulty.
Replace with a new device.
