(12) Adjusting procedure of the position of the tape guide base

WARNING :
To protect against possible personal injury due to abrupt start of the machine, be sure to start the
following work after turning the power off and ascertaining that the motor is at rest.

1. Adjusting the position of the guide roller
(1) Adjusting the vertical position
Loosen screw ❶ , and adjust so that the top
surface of support bracket ❷ is lower by 0.5
mm than the top surface of bracket ❼ . Then
tighten screw ❶ . (Fig. 1)
(2) Adjusting the longitudinal position
Loosen lever ❸ , and adjust bracket ❹ so that
distance C between front end A of support
bracket ❷ and center B of the roller shaft is
approx. 30 mm. Then clamp lever ❸ . (Fig. 2)
(3) Adjusting the lateral position
Loosen screw ❺ , adjust the left end face of col-
lar ❻ to the right-hand side of the elastic, and
tighten screw ❺ .
At this time, adjust so that the left end face of
collar ❽ of front roller aligns with the elastic
guide ❾ of the presser. (Fig. 3)
