Air Filter, Change
1 Remove the engine cover attached by three bolts.
2 Remove the hose clamp (1). Remove the filter by
moving it above the crankcase ventilation union
and then working it loose.
Be careful to prevent contamination from entering
the engine.
3 Install the new filter. Tighten the hose clamp.
Scrap the old filter; it may not be cleaned.
Drive Belt, Check and Change
WARNING!
Stop the engine before doing any maintenance work.
Check belt tensions and condition regularly.
The drive belts have automatic belt tensioners and do
not need to be adjusted. Check that the belt tensioner
does not bottom.
IMPORTANT!
Always replace a belt that appears worn or is cracked.
Belts working in tandem must be replaced simultane-
ously.
