Replacement
IMPORTANT: Replace the thermal pad only when replacing the
system board.
Turn the heatsink over and place it on a flat surface. Locate

the old thermal pad
Remove the old thermal pad with the flathead screwdriver

provided in your replacement kit. The old thermal pad is a
sticky or gummy substance on the bottom of the heatsink.
Next Step
The microprocessor assembly should be replaced on the system board before
securing the system board into the chassis.
Thoroughly scrape off any residue left on the heatsink after removing the old
thermal pad.
