Remove any disk, compact disc, or tape from the computer.

Turn off the computer and any peripheral devices that are connected to the

computer.
The computer power switch should be turned off before you

disconnect any cables.
Before doing any work inside your computer, ground
CAUTION
yourself by touching a metal part of the chassis.
Disconnect the power cord from the electrical outlet, and then from the computer.

Disconnect all peripheral device cables from the computer.
4.
Turn the computer over on its side (open side facing up).
5.
During disassembly, label each cable as you remove it. Be

sure to note its position and routing.
