Formatting

Before you format a disc, please make sure that important
content is safely backed up. All disc contents will be erased.
CAUTIONS:
For DVD+RW disc, you can reformat the disc if you want to
create a blank disc.
1. Press [ GUIDER ] to display the "Easy
Guider" menu.
2. Press [ ] [ ] to select "Format", then press
[ENTER].
The DVD Recorder starts formatting the disc.
3. When the disc formatting process is complete,
press [ENTER] to exit the format menu.

Finalizing

CAUTIONS:
For DVD+R discs:
Finalizing is necessary when you play discs recorded with this
unit on other DVD players or PCs.
You must finalize DVD+R discs before they can be played on
other DVD players.
Notes:
For DVD+RW discs, finalizing is not required.
1. Press [ GUIDER ] to display the "Easy
Guider" menu.
2. Press [ ] [ ] to select "Finalize", then press
[ENTER].
3. Press [ENTER] to start .
The recorder starts finalizing the disc.
Notes:
1. During "Format" or "Finalize" operations, you can select
"EXIT" or press "Guider" again to exit the "Easy Guider"
menu.
2. You may use either DVD+RW or DVD+R discs to record.
