Recording
Before recording
Cautions:
1. This DVD Recorder records on both DVD+R and DVD+RW
discs.
2. Please use high-quality recordable DVD+R/RW discs to
ensure the best recording quality.
3. DVD+R discs are write once DVD discs.
4. DVD+RW discs are re-writable DVD discs.
5. You cannot add new recordings to DVD+R discs after they
are finalized.
6. In some cases, you may not be able to add new recordings
to recordable DVD discs that contain recordings made by
other DVD Recorders.
Recording televison programs
1. Press [
POWER] to turn the unit on.
2. Press [
OPEN/CLOSE] to open the tray and
insert a recordable DVD disc.
Press the button again to close the tray.
When you insert a new recordable DVD disc, the DVD Recorder
will automatically format the disc.
3. Press [INPUT] to change the "signal-input
source" and select the "TV" input.
4. Press [ CH
] or [ ] [ ] to select the
channel you want to record.
Notes:
You can also use the number buttons to select a channel.
5. Press [RECORD] to start recording.
After pressing [RECORD], it may take a short while to start
recording.
Recording continues until you stop the recording or the disc is
full.
To stop recording
When you press [
STOP], it may take a few seconds for
recording to stop.
To pause recording
Press [
PAUSE] to pause recording. To restart recording,
press [PAUSE] again.
To change the recording mode.
Press [SETUP]. (See page 26)
Notes:
The new settings will not change the current recording, but will
be enabled for future recordings.

To check the disc status while recording
Press [DISPLAY] to display feedback on the current recording.
