Recording

Recording from a VCR or Camcorder

Before recording
This DVD Recorder can accept standard analog audio/video
cable or IEEE-1394 cable and record onto DVD in the digital
audio or video format of your choice. The unit functions much
like a digital VCR. Examples of use include digitizing videotapes
onto a recordable DVD disc, or transferring from a VCR or
camcorder to a recordable DVD disc.
This DVD Recorder allows basic DV control with the DVD
recorder's remote control.

Front panel and rear panel connections

Connect a VCR or camcorder to the unit's input terminals.
To start recording:
1. Press [SETUP] to select "RECORD" and set the
recording mode. ( HQ, SP, EP or SLP )
2. Place a recordable DVD disc on the tray, with
the disc's label facing up.
3. Press [INPUT] to select the signal-input ( TV,
AV1-Front, AV2-Rear, S-Video, DV, Company
Logo).
Notes:
When recording from the S-Video source, the audio input will be
sourced from the red (right channel) and white (left channel)
audio jacks (labeled "R" and "L", respectively) on the rear panel.
4. Start playing the VCR or camcorder.
5. Press [RECORD] on the DVD Recorder to
record your video/audio signal from the VCR
or camcorder onto a recordable DVD disc.
6. Press [
STOP] to stop recording.
To pause recording
Press [
PAUSE] to pause recording. To restart recording,
press the [PAUSE] or [RECORD] button.
