Timer recording

Before timer recording
Please check that the recordable DVD disc has enough available
space for the timer recording function. Before you start to
record, follow the steps to set the date, time, picture quality and
TV channel manually.

Setting the timer

1. Press [ POWER] to turn the unit on.
2. Press [ OPEN/CLOSE] to open the tray and
place a recordable DVD disc on the tray.
If you use an new recordable DVD disc, background formatting
will start automatically.
3. Press [TIMER] to display the "Timer-Record"
menu.
4. Press [ ][ ] to select one of the timer setting
events and press [ ].
5. Press [ ] [ ] to select "Mode" and press
[ENTER].
Each time you press [ ] [ ], the item changes as follows:
Mode: Once <-> Weekly <-> Daily
6. Press [ ] [ ] to select "Date" and press
[ENTER] .
Each time you press [ ] [ ], the item changes as follows:
DATE: 1 2 : 2 5 (MM/DD)
For Once:
DATE: SAT
For Weekly:
(SUN/MON/TUE/WED/THU/FRI/SAT)
DATE: (not applicable)
For Daily:
7. Press [ ] [ ] to select "Start" time and press
[ENTER] to set the Recording start time.
TIME:0 1 : 2 8 A (HH/MM/AM or PM)
8. Press [ ] [ ] to set the "End" time and press
[ENTER] to set the Recording end time.
9. Press [ ] [ ] to select "Source" and press
[ENTER] to set the Recording source.
TV <-> AV1-Front <-> AV2-Rear <-> S-Video <-> DV-Front
10. Press [ ] [ ] to select "Quality" and press
[ENTER] to set the Recording quality.
Mode: HQ <-> SP <-> EP <-> SLP
If you enter a wrong selection
Press [ ] [ ] to re-select the item you want to change.
11. Press [ ][ ] to select "Exit" , then press
[ENTER] to exit the "Timer Record" menu.
12. Press [ POWER] to turn off the unit and start
the timer recording function.
Notes:
1. When the timer recording function is active, the "Timer LED"
on the front panel display will turn on.
2. Timer Recording continues until you stop the recording or the
disc is full.
To stop recording during timer recording
When you press [ STOP ], it may take a few seconds for
recording to stop.
To check the disc status while timer recording
Press [DISPLAY] to display information on the timer recording.
