Construct the Fireplace Framing

IMPORTANT! BEFORE YOU BEGIN FRAMING, DETERMINE WHETHER YOU WILL BE INSTALLING THE
FIREPLACE AS A CLEAN FACE UNIT OR USING A SURROUND AND BEZEL. SEE PAGES 43 AND 44. WE
STRONGLY RECOMMEND WHEN THE FIREPLACE IS FRAMED WITH A 1/2" NONCOMBUSTIBLE BOARD,
WE RECOMMEND USING A SECOND LAYER, LOCALLY SOURCED, NONCOMBUSTIBLE BOARD SIMILAR
TO DUROCK
MUST BE OFFSET BACK SO THE TWO LAYER SURFACE WILL BE ON THE SAME PLANE AS THE WALLS
