INSTALLATION SEQUENCE
The typical sequence of installation is outlined below; however, each installation is unique and may result in
variations to the steps described.
See the pages referenced in the following steps for detailed instructions.
Framing
1. Construct the Fireplace Framing (Page 18).
2. Prepare the Fireplace Top Spacers (Page 20).
3. Route the Gas Supply Line into the Fireplace (Page 20).
4. Rough in the Electrical Supply, if Needed (Page 21).
5. Place the Fireplace in the Framing, Secure, and install Heat Shield (Page 21).
Venting
6. Select a Horizontal or Vertical Vent System (Page 21).
7. Install the Vent Restrictor (if necessary) (Page 21).
8. Install the Vent System (Page 25).
Electrical Connection
9. Complete the Field Wiring (Page 36).
10. Optional: Wire and Install the Power Vent (Page 38).
Gas Connection
11. Connect the Gas Line (Page 38).
12. Install the Wall Switch Receiver (Page 39).
13. Initialize the Remote Control System (Page 39).
14. Verify Proper Fireplace Operation (Page 39).
Finishing
15. Install the Glass Media (Page 40).
16. Install the Baffle (Page 40).
17. Install the Glass Door (Page 40).
18. Adjust the Air Shutter to Ensure Proper Flame Appearance (Page 40).
19. Install the Finishing Materials. Install the Bezel, Barrier, and Optional Surround (Page 43).
20. Attach the Safety-in-Operation Warning Labels (Page 46-47).
