Displays and warnings do not relieve you
of personal responsibility. System limitations
can mean that warnings or system responses
are not issued or are issued too late, incor‐
rectly, or without justification. There is a dan‐
ger of accidents. Adapt your driving style to
the traffic conditions. Observe the traffic situa‐
tion and intervene actively if the situation war‐
rants it.◀
Overview
Button in the vehicle
Lane Departure Warning
Camera
The camera is located on the front side of the
rear-view mirror.
Keep the windscreen clean and clear in the
area in front of the rear-view mirror.

Safety
Switching on/off
Press the button.
▷ On: LED is illuminated.
▷ Off: LED is extinguished.
The setting is saved for the currently used
driver profile.
Display in the instrument cluster
▷ Lines: the system is activated.
▷ Arrows: at least one lane boundary
line has been detected and warn‐
ings can be issued.
Output of the warning
When leaving the lane
If the vehicle leaves the lane and a lane mark‐
ing is detected, the steering wheel vibrates.
If the turn indicator is set before changing
lanes, no warning is issued.
Cancellation of the warning
The warning is interrupted in the following sit‐
uations:
▷ Automatically after approximately 3 sec‐
onds.
▷ On returning to the correct lane.
▷ When braking heavily.
▷ On indicating.
System limits
Safety note
WARNING
The system may respond not at all, too
late, incorrectly, or without justification due to
limits of the system. There is a danger of acci‐
dent or damage to property. Observe the infor‐
mation on the system limits and intervene ac‐
tively if necessary.◀
