Lane Departure Warning
Principle
The Lane Departure Warning issues a warning

markings.
General
Depending on the country version, the system
issues a warning at speeds between 55 km/h,
35 mph and 70 km/h, 45 mph.
When switching on the system below this
speed, a message is displayed in the instru‐
ment cluster.
Warnings are issued by means of a steering
wheel vibration. The timing of this warning may
vary depending on the current driving situa‐
tion.
The system does not issue a warning if the
driver indicates before leaving the driving lane.
Safety notes

The system does not release you from
your personal responsibility to estimate the
course of the road and traffic situation. There
is a danger of accidents. Adapt your driving
style to the traffic conditions. Observe the traf‐
fic situation and intervene actively if the situa‐
tion warrants it. In the event of a warning, do
