Troubleshooting Hints
How to confirm which of DVD circuit or other circuits is defective.
1) Confirm DVD operation and VCR operation
1. Playback the VHS tape. Both NG
2. Playback the DVD disk.
No PB VCR only
No PB DVD only
DVD circuit is defective. Confirm the Error code by using "SELF DIAGNOSTIC TEST FUNCTION FOR DVD."
Then, perform troubleshooting refering the "Troubleshooting Hints of DVD circuit."

Error Code: 01 (Cause: Decoder Error)
Check voltage at TP8002. Is it NG Check IC8003.
+3.6V ? (REGULATOR CONTROL)

Check Power line.
Check signal at TP8005, TP8007 NG Check X8501.
