Trouble shooting

Status
The tool operates normally but does not drive the
fasteners to flush.
The fasteners is driven to flush at normal speed, but
when increasing speed it is not driven to flush.
The fastener is driven too deeply into the work piece.
The tool is leaking air
The tool is blank-firing
No feed of fasteners
Lack of power
Fasteners jam in the tool
For failure other than above situations, please stop using the gas tool and contact your local dealer for service.

Meaning
• Adjust the depth of drive setting to the deepest
• Maximise the air pressure (max pressure is specified on the tool)
The workpiece is too hard for the chosen length of fasteners.
• Maximise the air pressure (max pressure is specified on the tool)
Use an air supply hose with a larger inner diameter.
Use a shorter air supply hose.
Switch to a compressor with bigger air supply
• Move the nozzle downwards to reduce the driving depth.
Reduce the air pressure.
Loose nose screws
· Tighten screws and recheck
Loose cap screws
· Tighten screws and recheck
Damaged seal or gasket
· Replace seal or gasket
Dirt in nose (B+C)
· Clean nose
Dirty/empty magazine (I)
· Clean magazine
• Air restriction/inadequate air flow
· Check hose and compressor
Lack of lubrication
· Use TJEP lubricator
Fasteners too short or wrong size for the tool
· Use recommended TJEP fasteners only
Bent fasteners
· Do not use
Low air pressure
· Check hose and compressor
Lack of lubrication (H)
· Use TJEP lubricator
Wrong size of nails
· Use recommended TJEP fasteners only and keep nails dry
Bent fasteners
· Do not use
Loose magazine, nose screws
· Tighten all screws and recheck
The workpiece is too hard for the chosen fastener
