1.3 Operating procedure of the Serviceman Software Tool

The file name of the Serviceman Software Tool is the "ProductChkTool.exe".
1.3.1

Starting of the Serviceman Software Tool

Select the "ProductChkTool.exe" file to start the Serviceman Software Tool.
NOTE: Be sure to store setting files (e.g. "*.ini" and "*.prn") in the same folder as the
execution file "ProductChkTool.exe".
NOTE: Multiple tools cannot be started simultaneously.
1.3.2

Performing of the Inspection

To perform inspection, connect the machine to the PC with the USB cable, and turn
ON the power for the machine. If the "Found New Hardware Wizard" screen is
displayed, click the [Cancel] button. (Refer to
NOTE: The Servicemen Software Tool is able to perform inspection even if the driver
is not installed.
And check that the machine is the "E mode".
→ In the case of "EL mode", the communication between the PC and the machine
is not possible by the Serviceman Software Tool.
Push and hold the [EL] button (Editor Lite button) to change the "E mode".

turns off the light. If the left LED turns
on the light, it is "EL mode".
Change the mode with the [EL] button.
